A pregnant woman needs to be more careful with her diet and eat healthier and take extra care of her own diet in order to aid her baby growing healthy.

When a woman is pregnant, it's the happiest moment of her life. She has a new life forming within her and it's essential for every woman to take immense care of herself and her growing baby. This is the time when a woman needs to ensure that her diet should have enough nutrients to nourish her growing child. Other than the basic nutrition, a woman's body needs some extra nutrition in order to nourish the baby and also keep herself healthy and fit. It's also essential for a woman to increase her own calorie intake as well. But it is also crucial to remember that your diet has to remain balanced and consuming too much food and excess weight gain can be dangerous for a woman during her pregnancy.



Following are some category of food items that every pregnant woman should include in her diet:


  • Dairy Products


Dairy products like milk, paneer, ghee, curd and buttermilk such are rich in proteins and calcium which aids the growth of the fetus. Yoghurt and curd has probiotics which are great for a woman's digestive system and her pregnancy as well. It reduces the risks of a complication during pregnancy. avoid using dalda at any cause.

Eggs are also packed with a high protein content which is great for your growing baby as it needs extra protein. It also contains some fat and vitamins and minerals of which choline is one such content which is known to aid brain development which is needed for many steps in metabolism. Choline is also available in liver, meats, paultry, dairy products and peanuts.

  • Fresh Fruits and Vegetables


Fruits these are not limited to other fruits are equally essential too, but avocado and banana have high water content this fruits will retain the water content in body, as there is loss of water due to vomiting and these fruits are rich in

One very important and ultimate food item which plays crucial role in our day to day diet was sweeteners. You have to be very cautious about this, use only Jaggery powder with milk and other sweets. Completely avoid white crystal sugar which only contains carbohydrates and chemical traces.
Better continue to use jaggery powder after pregnancy too for healthy living. We better be safe than sorry. Jaggery is rich in Iron, protein, vitamins & minerals. This is also rich in antioxidants which aid the digestive system and reduce constipation.

  • Berries


Berries like blackberries and blueberries and raspberries and strawberries and such are rich in nutrients and antioxidants which is great for your body and overall health. They are rich in vitamin C which aids your body in absorbing iron and also improves your immune system. They have a high fiber and water content which helps a woman stay hydrated and healthy during her pregnancy.

  • Legumes/ Pulses


It is important to include some plant-based nutrition in your diet and legumes are a rich source of proteins and vitamins and minerals like iron, folate and calcium which a woman's body needs a lot more than anything else. It is essential to increase the intake of folate for a woman during pregnancy which legumes provides that.

Note: Consuming high amount of protein in a single shot to be avoided, you have to allow your body to adapt for that as you are two life you essentially need more protein than normal human diet, increase it day by day with doctors advice too. But don’t forget, we must listen to our elder’s advice as they are more experienced than doctors & us. 



For some exceptional cases like, some food smell induces vomiting sensation. for them doctor's would prescribe tablets as supplement. But remember supplements are supplements never take it as granted and use tablets as main course. Learn some tricks to avoid vomiting from your elder's.


What a disappointing matter happening to present generation was they never get together with relatives. Please, we all feel that advice is a bitter medicine. but it helps a lot. Humans living as dominant creature in this world is because we learn from others experience and anticipate things.
